I love circles.

I am a potter, retired art teacher, and current resident of Maryland, NY. My home and studio overlook gorgeous rolling hills and fields, with stars that stretch for miles once the sun sets. Pottery has been a life-long passion, and I am deeply fortunate to spend my days covered in clay, surrounded by nature’s inspiration.

When I was in college, I got the pottery bug. I spent every spare minute in the studio, and my graduation gift was my first wheel. My father offered to fund a pottery business for me on eastern Long Island in the late 1970’s - right on the water. I sometimes wonder how my potter’s life would have been different had I taken him up on his seemingly generous offer. But Dad might have been a tough boss and well....there was a boy involved who preferred staying in the city.

Many chapters later, after retiring from teaching art throughout central NY, I am creating that potter’s life. Coming full circle has never felt better.

All of my pottery is hand-thrown, and glazed with my own custom glazes. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, with unique texture and color variance from the firing process. I inspect each piece for its quality, merit, and beauty, and I hope that it brings you as much joy in using it as I have found in making it.
